At the Digital News and Media Council of India (DNMCI), governance is the foundation upon which our mission to protect and promote responsible digital journalism is built. Guided by the principles of Transparency, Integrity, and Public Accountability, DNMCI operates through a professionally structured and legally compliant system of leadership and oversight.

We believe that Credible journalism must be backed by Credible governance. Our national, zonal, and state-level leadership ensures every decision is made in line with ethical standards, legal frameworks, and with the intent to uplift digital journalism across platforms.

DNMCI is a Registered Media Organization (Regd. No. BK-IV-84/19-20) under government guidance and functions according to its own legally recognized Bye-laws. These Bye-laws ensure:

• Ethical media practices

• Non-political and non-commercial independence

• Structured accountability at every organizational tier

• Compliance with evolving digital and broadcasting regulations in India

The organization’s leadership model is multi-tiered, enabling localized execution and national coordination.
