The Digital News and Media Council of India (DNMCI) is a Registered National Media Organization (Regd. No. BK-IV-84/19-20) working under Government Guidance to strengthen the voice, value, and validity of responsible digital journalism across India and abroad.
As India’s Digital Landscape evolves, DNMCI stands as a pioneering authority, committed to Empowering Digital News Platforms, Lournalists, and Content Creators by offering them Structure, Recognition, and Support. From grassroots media workers to established digital publications, DNMCI ensures that every voice committed to ethical reporting is heard, validated, and safeguarded.
DNMCI is Headquartered in New Delhi, with State and District Level Nodal Offices being rapidly established to ensure outreach, training, and governance at every level of the media ecosystem. These offices are guided by structured State Committees comprising professionals from fields such as Media, Film, Fashion, Sports, Art, and Public Service, ensuring a diverse and democratic leadership model.

Register and recognize eligible Digital News Channels, Social Media News Pages, and News Websites under DNMCI's official framework.
Train digital journalists through structured certification programs at certified regional centers (Delhi, Goa, Siliguri, and Kerala).
Certify verified channels with a unique DNMCI Registration Number, mandatory for publishing and broadcasting under the council’s ethical code.
Advocate for journalists’ rights, digital media policies, and media freedom under lawful, ethical, and government-aligned guidelines.
Establish and operate Digital Press Clubs of India (DPCI) across districts to foster collaboration, support, and community benefits like insurance and national access.
Combat misinformation, digital fraud, and scam activities through vigilance programs, public alerts, and partnerships with cyber task forces.
